أسفل جحر الارنب

جلست أليس وشقيقتها الكبرى تحت شجرة في أحد الأيام المشمسة , وكان مع أخت أليس كتاب, لكن لم يكن مع أليس أي شيء. نظرت في كتاب شقيقتها, لم يكن فيه صور أو حوارات.
Alice and her big sister sat under a tree one sunny day. Alices sister had abook, but Alice had nothing with her.She looked at her sisters book. There were no pictures or conversations in it.
قالت في نفسها: لماذا لا تقرأ كتابا لا يحوي صورا أو حوارات؟ أشعر بالملل أعرف ذلك, سأبحث عن بعض الأزهار ثم فكرت: لا, فالطقس حار جدا لمثل ذلك وأنا أشعر بالنعاس.
"Why is she reading a book without pictures or conversations?"she thought "Im bored. I know, Ill look for some flowers . Then she thought, no its too hot for that and I feel sleepy.
فجأة ركض أرنب أمامها أخرج ساعة من سترته ونظر اليها . وقال: آه آه سأتأخر.
Suddenly , a white rabbit ran past her. It took a watch from his jacket and looked at it. Oh,Oh,Iam going to be late it said.
قالت أليس: ذلك غريب, أرنب بساعة.
Thats strange , a rabbit with a watch," said Alice.
قفزت وركضت خلف الحيوان. فركض الى أسفل في وكر أرانب واسع, فنزلت أليس في الوكر كذلك. ولم تتوقف لتسأل: كيف سأخرج ثانية؟
She jumped and ran after the animal. It ran down a large rabbit-hole, so Alice went down the hole too. She didnt stop and ask,"HowamI going to get out again?"
نظرت حولها. فرأت خزائن في جدرانوكر الأرنب. كان بعض الخزائن مفتوحا, وكان فيها كتب وكانت ترى صورا أحيانا.ونظرت الى أسفل لكنها لم تر أي ضوء.
She looked around. There were cupboards in the walls of the rabbit- hole . Some of the cupboards were open, and there were books in them. Sometimes she saw pictures. She looked down, but she couldnt see any light.
تحت, تحت, تحت. تساءلت أليس ترى متى ستنتهي الحفرة؟ ربما أخرج في أستراليا, سأضطر الى أن أسأل عن اسم البلد أرجوك, يا سيدتي , هل هذه أستراليا أو نيوزيلندة؟ ر, لا أستطيع عمل ذلك . سيظنون أني غبية.
Down, down, down. When will the hole end? She wondered. "perhaps Im going to come out in Australia, Ill have to ask the name of the country. Please, madam, is this Australia or New Zealand ?" No I cant do that. Theyll think Im stupid.
وفكرت بقطتها, دانيا. ماذا تفعل دانيا؟ هل سيتذكرون حليبها الليلة؟ آه, يا دانيا, لم لست معي هنا؟ ربما كان هنا فأر تستطيعين أكله,

She though about her cat, Dinah. Whats Dinah doing?Will they remember her milk tonight? Oh, Dinah, why arent you here with me? Perhaps theres a mouse here and you can eat it
وفجأة , كانت أليس في قعر الوكر. قالت: ذلك لم يؤلم , ونهضت بسرعة واستطاعت أن ترى الآرنبالآبيض فركضت خلفه ثانية.كان في الوكر أرانب آخر الان.
Suddenly, Alice was at the bottom of the hole. That didnt hurt she said and sat up quickly. She could see the white rabbit and she ran after him. They were in a different rabbit hole.

صرخ الآرنب الأبيض آه, أذناي وأنفي , ألوقت يتأخر كثيرا.

وركض الأرنب أسرع واختفى في وكر آخر. وتبعته أليس خلال الوكر. أصبحت الآن في غرفة طويلة جدا. نظرت حولها تبحث عن الأرنب الأبيض, لكنها لم تستطع أن تراه في أي مكان.
He ran faster and vanished through another hole. Alice followed him through the hole. Now she was in a very long room. She looked round for the white rabbit, but she couldnt see him anywhere.
كان للغرفة أربعة أبواب, لكن أليس لم تستطع فتحها. كذلك, لم تستطع أن ترى الوكر في أي مكان. وتساءلت: كيف أخرج من هذا؟
There were four doors in the room, but Alice couldnt open them. Also she couldnt see the hole anywhere. "How amI going to get out?" She wondered.
ثم رأت طاولة صغيرة. كان عليها مفتاح صغير جدا.
Then she saw a little table. It had a very small key on it.
قالت في نفسها: ربما فتح أحد الأبواب . وأخذت المفتاح وحاولت أن تفتح به كل باب. لكن دون فائدة. كان المفتاح صغيرا جدا.
"Perhaps it will open one of the doors," she thought. She took the key and tried to open each door with it. But it was no good .the key was too small.
وقالت في نفسها: لا بد أن يفتح هذا المفتاح شيئا ما .
"This key has to open something," she thought
ثم رأت بابا صغيرا جدا ارتفاعه حوالي أربعين سنتمترا ,فتحة المفتاح الصغير أدخلت رأسها ونظرت عبر الى الحديقة حاولت أن تعبرهلكنها كانت كبيرة جدا.وبحزن أغلقت الباب ثانية وأعادت المفتاح على الطاولة.
Then she saw a very small door about 40 centimeters high. The little key opened it. She put her head down and looked through the door into a beautiful garden . She tried to walk through it, but she was too big. Sadly, she shut the door again and put the key back on the table.
وفكرت: لم لا أستطيع أن أصبح أصغر؟ هذا مكان غريب جدا- ربما أستطيع.
"Why cant I get smaller?" thought Alice. "this is a very strange place so perhaps I can."
ونظرت الى الطاولة. كانت عليها قنينة صغيرة.
She looked at the table. There was a little bottle on it.
وفكرت أليس: لم تكن هذه الزجاجة على الطاولة من قبل.
That bottle was not on the table before, thought Alice.
كان على الزجاجة(اشربني) بحروف كبيرة. نظرت أليس اليها بعناية.
The bottle had "DRINK ME" on it in large letters. Alice looked at it carefully.
وتساءلت: أصواب أن أشرب؟
"Is it right to drink" she wondered.
وقالت في نفسها: سأشرب قليلا. وشربت قليلا وكان جيدا. لذا تناولت كمية
أكبر.
"Ill drink a little " she though . She had some and it was very nice. So she had some more.
قالت أليس: يبدو هذا غريبا, انني أصغر وأصغر , وبعد فترة قصيرة أصبح طولها خمسة وعشرون سنتمترا فقط.
This feels strange,said Alice. Im getting smaller and smaller,"After a short time, she was only 25 centimeters high.
قالت في نفسها: الأن أستطيع أن أعبر الباب. وذهبت الى الباب لكنها لم تستطع فتحه. كان المفتاح على الطاولة. ورجعت الى الطاولة, لكن أليس كانت قصيرة جدا فلم تستطع الوصول الى المفتاح. حاولت التسلق على أرجل الطاولة, لكن ذلك كان صعبا جدا. وجلست الفتاة الصغيرة على الأرض وبكت.
Now,"Shethought. She went to the door, but she could not openit. The key was on the table. She went back to the table. But Alice was too short and she couldnt get the key . She tried to climb the table legs , but it was too difficult. The little girl sat down and cried.
ثم قالت بعد بضع دقائق : أليس , أليس لا تبكي. لن ينفعك هذا .كفي الآن.
Alice, Alice, she said after some minutes. "Dont cry. It isnt going to help you. Stop now,"
ثم رأت صندوقا صغيرا تحت الطاولة. ففتحته. كان بداخله بعض الكيك. ورأت عليه "كلني"
The she saw a little box under the table. She opened it. There was a cake inside. On it, she saw the words EAT ME".
قالت أليس: نعم سآكله. ربما أصبح أكبر وبعدها أستطيع أن أحصل على المفتاح ربما أصبح أصغر. فأستطيع أن أدخل الحديقة من تحت الباب.
"YesI will eat it", Alice said "perhaps Ill get bigger and then I can get the key. Or perhaps Ill get smaller. Then I can get under the door into the garden.
وأكلت بعض الكيك.
She ate some cake.
وتساءلت: ترى هل سأصعد أم أنزل؟ وتحسست رأسها بيدها. لكن لم يحدث شيء- بقيت بنفس الحجم. لذا أنهت على الكيك كله.
"Will I go up or down?" she wondered. She felt the top of her head with her hand. But nothing happened- she stayed the same size. So she finished the cake.
